Senior Director (VP), Product Marketing - AdTech (New York)

This role will be responsible for defining how our client brings products to market, positions solutions, communicates value, and equips customer-facing teams for success. This function serves as the bridge between product innovation and commercial execution, ensuring consistent messaging, effective go-to-market strategies, and strong revenue enablement across the organization.

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Director (or VP), Product Marketing & Sales Enablement to lead its commercial marketing organization and shape the company's go-to-market strategy.

Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this leader will oversee Product Marketing, Commercial Content, and Revenue Enablement, bringing these functions together into a cohesive, high-performing organization.

This role sits at the intersection of Product, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success, helping translate product innovation into compelling market positioning while enabling commercial teams to engage customers effectively and consistently.

The successful candidate will partner closely with executive leadership to build scalable go-to-market capabilities, strengthen competitive differentiation, accelerate product adoption, and improve commercial performance across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the company's commercial marketing strategy, ensuring products and solutions are positioned clearly and consistently across all customer touchpoints.
• Lead the Product Marketing function, developing differentiated positioning, messaging, and value propositions across the product portfolio.
• Partner closely with Product leadership to translate roadmap priorities into effective go-to-market strategies and launch plans.
• Drive successful product launches through strong cross-functional collaboration across Product, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success.
• Develop messaging frameworks, competitive positioning, and customer proof points that strengthen market differentiation.
• Build and maintain a robust competitive intelligence capability that informs positioning and commercial strategy.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to Product by bringing customer insights, market trends, and commercial feedback into roadmap discussions.

Commercial Content & Thought Leadership

• Lead the Commercial Content function, overseeing thought leadership, executive communications, customer success stories, sales collateral, and product storytelling.
• Ensure a consistent commercial narrative across all customer-facing content and communications.
• Partner with Brand and Demand Generation teams to activate content across campaigns, launches, and executive initiatives.
• Translate complex technologies into compelling, customer-centric messaging.
• Build scalable content capabilities that support both marketing initiatives and revenue teams.

Revenue Enablement

• Define the global Revenue Enablement strategy, including onboarding, certifications, launch readiness, ongoing learning, and manager enablement.
• Develop scalable programs that improve seller effectiveness, consistency, and speed to productivity.
• Ensure customer-facing teams have the tools, messaging, frameworks, and confidence needed to execute successfully.
• Partner with Sales leadership to identify capability gaps and implement programs that improve commercial performance.
• Support every major product launch with comprehensive field readiness and enablement plans.

Organizational Leadership

• Lead and develop the Commercial Marketing organization across Product Marketing, Commercial Content, and Revenue Enablement.
• Recruit, mentor, and grow high-performing leaders while building a scalable organization capable of supporting continued business growth.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and operational excellence.
• Act as a strategic connector across Product, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Operations.
• Influence executive stakeholders and align cross-functional leaders around commercial priorities.
• Help evolve the company's go-to-market operating model as the organization continues to scale.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Commercial Marketing, Product Marketing, Go-to-Market Strategy, Revenue Enablement, or related leadership roles within AdTech , and high-growth technology environments.
• Proven success leading Product Marketing or Commercial Marketing organizations.
• Deep expertise in positioning, messaging, product launches, and go-to-market strategy.
• Experience building and scaling Revenue Enablement programs.
• Exceptional storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex technologies into compelling customer value propositions.
• Strong understanding of enterprise sales, customer buying behavior, and modern B2B go-to-market strategies.
• Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary, high-performing teams.
• Executive presence with the ability to influence senior leaders across Product, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success.
• Strategic thinker who is equally comfortable driving execution.
• Experience in AI, enterprise software, advertising technology, marketing technology, or data platforms is highly desirable.
• Thrives in fast-paced, growth-oriented organizations with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
