Program Coordinator

Job Description: The Program Coordinator provides high-level administrative, logistical and operational support for the Brown Biomedical Innovations to Impact (BBII) program. This position plays a critical role in building and sustaining a vibrant biomedical entrepreneurship ecosystem across Brown University and Brown University Health. Primary responsibilities include coordinating the request for proposals (RFP) and review cycle of the translationally focused BBII innovation grants; serving as the operational point of contact for the Innovation Fellows and Entrepreneurs in Residence (EIRs); tracking program metrics; general administrative support and managing event logistics for commercialization workshops, external review committee meetings, and pitch events. The incumbent is relied upon to work independently and as part of a team, manage shifting priorities, and interact professionally with faculty, clinicians, biotech industry experts, and advisors. This is a fixed term position with a current end date of 6/30/2031, which may be extended based upon available funding. Job Qualifications Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's degree plus 1-2 years’ program management and/or administrative experience. Experience working in a university office, an academic medical center research environment, a startup accelerator or a non-profit is highly advantageous. And/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Job Competencies Excellent administrative, organizational and communication skills. Strong customer-service orientation with the ability to interface effectively with diverse groups, including academic scientists, busy clinicians, institutional leaders, and external investors. Initiative and ability to work independently and as a member of a team Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and comfortable adapting to grant/project management portals.
