Job Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for all areas of coordination by managing millwork projects from project award through material submittals, shop drawings, change orders, monthly billings, and closeout by fulfilling all contractual obligations. Working with internal and external teams the PM develops a plan of execution and maintains the project schedule. The PM is the primary interface between our clients and the production and install management teams ensuring projects are completed accurately per the project’s plans and specifications. This position requires interacting and cultivating relationships with key personnel across a broad spectrum of the company’s internal stakeholders: material suppliers, architects, owners, and general contractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Creates the plan to successfully deliver the project, manages the project to meet the needs of all parties, and deliver expected project financial results.

• Manage project scope and timing with the customer, subcontractors, vendors, and internal departments. Identify long lead time items.
\n
• Managing all costs through, including internal and external resources to meet or exceed financial targets.
\n
• Responsible for accurate monthly progress billings.
\n
• The PM role requires in-depth knowledge of standard building construction methods and requires the ability to read and scrutinize construction drawings to ensure the accuracy of our submittals and shop drawings. Manage the submittal process.

• Coordinate the execution of contracts with customers and subcontractors, and scope, price and follow through on change orders.
\n
• Participate in Jobsite meetings with customers and subcontractors as required.
\n
• Proactively communicate with customers.
\n
• Communicate and coordinate with production and install managers to ensure projects finish on time and per the required specifications.
\n
• Manage project punch list, closeout documentation, AWI QCP documentation, etc.

Skills / Experience

\n
• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in the commercial casework and/or millwork industry.
\n
• Proficient using online project management software such as Procore, Autodesk, etc.
\n
• Previous experience in the millwork industry is preferred.
\n
• Ability to lead a team in a collaborative manner.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
\n
• Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
\n
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, organize, and implement alternate solutions to challenges.
\n
• Strong sense of urgency
\n
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc. Previous experience with CAD/ drafting software is a plus.

• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
\n
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and project specifications.
\n
