Position Details

We are seeking a qualified professional with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery (L&D) to join our team for an 18-week assignment. The shift is a 3x12-hour schedule from 06:45 AM to 07:15 PM. Candidates must be flexible with scheduling and available to work during holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide care during antepartum, intrapartum, and immediate postpartum periods.
• Administer Magnesium Drips and manage C-Sections.
• Float to the Post-Partum unit as required.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team for optimal patient outcomes.
• Ensure adherence to safety and health protocols.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Labor and Delivery; preferred charge experience.
• Certifications: Active certifications in ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and FHM are required.
• Charting System: Proficient in EPIC charting system.
• Skills:
  
  
  • Administration of blood and blood products.
  • Management of cardiac arrest situations.
  • Proficient in assisting with high-risk deliveries and performing sterile vaginal exams.

Unit Information

Our unit consists of a 28-bed capacity, serving a diverse range of patients including neonates and adults. The unit manages a delivery volume of 300-350 per month and provides critical care for high-acuity patients, requiring a 1:1 bedside care ratio.

Patient Care Details

• Patient Age Groups: Neonates and adults.
• Daily Census: High patient volume.
• Special Procedures: C-Sections, D&Cs, Hysterectomies, and other L&D related activities.

Location

This position is located in Seattle, WA.

Additional Information

• RNs must have experience in performing C-Sections and managing magnesium and insulin drips.
• All travelers may be required to float within the hospital based on patient care needs.
