Contract | Days | Monday–Friday, 5x8 Hours (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient physical therapy services to an adult and geriatric patient population, managing approximately 11 cases per day
• Perform evaluations, assessments, and reassessments, including development of short-term and long-term goals and discharge planning
• Deliver therapeutic interventions including gait training, extremity mobilization, AROM/AAROM/PROM, strength testing, and pain assessment
• Treat a variety of conditions including low back pain, cervicalgia, post-operative orthopedic cases, neurological conditions, and spinal disorders
• Utilize and instruct patients in assistive devices such as walkers, crutches, sliding boards, and shoulder slings
• Develop and educate patients and families on home exercise programs and proper body mechanics

Required Qualifications

• Active New Mexico Physical Therapist license (license may be pending at time of submission)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience; first-time travelers accepted with acute inpatient experience
• COVID vaccination required; religious and medical exemptions accepted with completed exemption form signed by a provider
• Must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; non-local driver's license required on file

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with neurological conditions including multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, post-stroke, traumatic brain injury, and muscular dystrophy
• Background in cardiopulmonary care, including COPD and CHF management
• Familiarity with outpatient orthopedic conditions such as frozen shoulder, osteoarthritis, sciatica, and sports medicine cases
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic health records
