Job Title: Production Assembly Technician

Job Description

The Production Assembly Technician assembles, tests, and inspects components and finished products according to established specifications in a fast-paced production environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent manual dexterity, and the ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electrical components into finished products according to company specifications and assembly instructions.

• Use hand tools and basic production equipment to perform mechanical and electrical assembly tasks safely and efficiently.

• Read and interpret assembly instructions, diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation to complete work accurately.

• Perform basic electrical wiring and electrical assembly work as required for each product.

• Inspect parts, subassemblies, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.

• Identify, report, and help resolve any assembly or quality issues encountered during the production process.

• Follow standard operating procedures and production guidelines to maintain consistency and efficiency.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with workplace safety practices.

• Work collaboratively with team members and support other general labor and production tasks as needed.

• Meet production goals and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Essential Skills

• Previous experience in production, assembly, manufacturing, or related hands-on work preferred.

• Ability to read and follow assembly instructions, diagrams, and technical documentation.

• Good hand-eye coordination and strong manual dexterity for detailed assembly work.

• Basic understanding of tools and equipment commonly used in assembly environments.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

• Ability to stand for extended periods during the shift.

• Ability to lift 25–40 lbs as needed for handling parts and materials.

• Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.

• Ability to work well in a team-oriented production environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical assembly in a production or manufacturing setting.

• Experience with electrical assembly and basic wiring tasks.

• Ability to read and understand basic electrical schematics.

• Comfort performing general labor tasks in support of production needs.

• Willingness to learn new assembly processes, tools, and techniques.

Work Environment

This position operates in a fast-paced production and manufacturing environment that involves hands-on assembly work. Work is performed on the production floor in a team-oriented setting, with an emphasis on safety, organization, and maintaining a clean and orderly workspace. Standard production schedules and shift-based work may apply, with expectations to follow established procedures and work collaboratively with others to meet production goals.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orange, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
