This individual will be critical in aligning strategic priorities to make Edward Jones FAs in their community successful, enhance client outcomes, and grow mutually beneficial partnerships.Open Regions & Desired Hiring Locations:St. Louis Region (Based in St. Louis, MO)Southern California Region (Based in Los Angeles, CA)Mid-Atlantic Region (Based in Greater Baltimore, MD)Michigan Region (Based in Detroit, MI)Louisiana / Mississippi / Arkansas Region (Based in New Orleans, LA)Iowa / Nebraska Region (Based in Des Moines, IA or Omaha, NE)Georgia / Alabama Region (Based in Atlanta, GA)Arizona / Utah / New Mexico Region (Based in Phoenix, AZ)Minnesota Region (Based in Minneapolis, MN)Candidates must be willing to relocate to the designated hiring location for their assigned region.What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Senior Advisor Consultant, Edward Jones?Grow FT assets under care (AUC) by supporting Edward Jones Financial Advisors in gathering net new assets and retaining existing assets.Serves as the subject matter expert (SME) on Edwards Jones structure, mission, goals, culture, compliance, and rules of engagement.Anticipates and addresses the investment needs of clients.Understands and immerses self into the Edward Jones culture to drive goals-based advice, financial planning, and serving high-net-worth across the firm.Advise clients on how FT’s “value beyond investments” can be incorporated into their practice to help serve their clients more completely.Educate clients on FT’s investment capabilities and how when packaged together with other top solutions can grow their business and meet their client’s financial goals.Demonstrates how FT’s products complement the client’s business needs, including sophisticated clients with complex requirements, such as tailored portfolio construction services and custom solutions.Recognized as an industry expert by enhancing FT’s position in the market, driving innovative sales ideas, approaches, and techniques.Educates peers and represents FT at events and activities.Develops sales approach to changing market conditions and evolving client needs by providing value-added advice and positioning.Uses industry and competitive data to achieve sales goals.Integrates effective prospecting, contact, and follow-up strategies for new and existing clients; identifies targeted sales opportunities.Manages expenses against annual territory travel and entertainment (T&E) budget.Maximizes FT resources to build brand awareness, socialize FT’s capabilities, and achieve sales targets.Applies expert knowledge of FT investment philosophies, processes, strategies, and products to increase market share within territory.Helps the Edward Jones financial advisor on their journey to ascend through FA segments: Start, Grow, Optimize, Maxime, and eventual Transition.Client RelationshipsMaximizes internal networks and external centers of influence to deepen and enhance relationships with clients via investment advice, communication, and expert/seasoned knowledge of FT products, services, and the market/industry.Tailors best practice ideas, education, and consultation on appropriate solutions to strengthen and expand client relationships.Advises and positions FT products and respectfully applies knowledge of competitor products in order to meet client’s needs.Draws upon FT’s portfolio managers’ perspectives and product details to recommend appropriate solutions to meet client’s needs and increase market share.LeadershipLeads and directs sales efforts with internal partners to achieve sales targets.Maintains and grows partnership and teamwork with internal resources through collaboration and mentoring.What ideal qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?Typically has 5-7 years related sales experience.Series 7 and 63 required.Relocation to the territory is required.Excellent presentation skills.Franklin Templeton offers employees a competitive and valuable range of total rewards—monetary and non-monetary—designed to support the whole person and to recognize their time, talents, and results. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation.
