Job Description Starting Date: Immediately Position: Long Term Substitute Science Teacher Location: Pennichuck Middle School, Nashua, New Hampshire Start Date: ASAP Salary Range: Competitive Rates Qualifications: Teaching applicants must be New Hampshire certified or eligible to teach Science. ESOL Certification Preferred. Summary of Responsibilities: A teacher in the Nashua School District is highly qualified to deliver specified course content, uses effective strategies for differentiation, interacts positively and professionally with students and parents, expects students to succeed, and actively engages students in lessons planned around grade level expectations to enhance critical thinking skills. Teachers implement instructional strategies that create a climate of active engagement and meaningful learning experiences. The effective teacher inspires and empowers students in their own learning and collaborates with peers to align curriculum and enhance the instructional environment toward gains in student performance. Professional obligations include continuous pursuit of new understanding, reflection on practices, and efficient work habits for lesson planning, meeting deadlines and honoring schedules.
