About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years of postpartum experience License: Valid compact or state nursing license in hand at the time of submission Certifications: BLS, IV certification Must-Have: - IV start skills - Labor & delivery experience - Epic experience Description: Schedule may require floating to units with similar acuity. Candidate must possess minimum two years of postpartum experience. BLS and IV certifications are required. IV start skills and labor & delivery experience are necessary. Epic experience is preferred. Previous travel nursing experience is a plus. The unit provides family-centered care to women and infants. Daily patient ratios are typically 3-4 dyads, accommodating 6-8 patients. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, and social services. The patient population consists of postpartum patients, including both vaginal and cesarean deliveries. Special clinical procedures may include care for healthy newborns and infants with neonatal abstinence syndrome. Telemetry interpretation is required, and RNs will need to pass an EKG exam before starting. Compliance with credentialing processes is mandatory. Candidates must complete any required fingerprinting process immediately upon contract acceptance. Two professional references are necessary, including one from a managerial or supervisory position. No coworker references will be accepted.
