Registered Dietitian | Part Time | Day Shift | Nutritional Services Provides comprehensive nutritional care to patients and residents with special needs and/or who meet nutritional risk criteria. The role includes patient assessment and reassessment, patient and family education, interdisciplinary communication, development of nutritional care plans, and documentation of all interventions according to policy and practice standards. Job Summary This part‑time position focuses on delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based nutritional care by utilizing advanced technical and decision‑making skills to assess patients, develop care plans, monitor nutrition status, and provide education to patients, families, and the healthcare team. Job Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in food and nutrition or equivalent (required) Master’s Degree (required only if eligibility for examination began on or after 1/1/24) Experience as a Clinical Dietitian (preferred) Dietetic internship or its equivalent (required) Licenses/Certifications Registered Dietitian (RD) within 6 months of completion of residency program (required) Essential Functions Perform assessment of patients to determine nutritional risk and provide quality care through nutrition plans, meal patterns, monitoring intake, initiating interventions, and delivering education. Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing reassessments to determine nutritional status, stability, and diagnoses; evaluate patient responses to care implementation. Set patient care priorities and delegate responsibilities to staff while ensuring safe, accurate medical nutrition therapy and documentation. Serve as an educational resource for the health‑care team, dietetic interns, patients, families, and community; orient and instruct new professionals and assistive personnel. Collect and assess direct data on patient nutrition; supervise indirect data collection by assigned personnel. Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
