THE POSITION The Production Lead is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations on the production floor, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency standards. This role acts as a liaison between production staff and management, helping to coordinate workflow, train team members, resolve issues, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate daily activities of production associates to meet production schedules and quality standards Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed to ensure timely output Enforce safety regulations and ensure a clean and organized work environment Train, mentor, and support new and existing team members to enhance productivity and skill levels Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet company specifications Troubleshoot production issues and collaborate with maintenance or management to implement solutions Record and report production data, including output, downtime, and resource usage Assist with inventory tracking and material handling Lead daily shift meetings to communicate expectations, priorities, and updates Support continuous improvement efforts and suggest ways to optimize production processes Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or technical degree preferred 2+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with at least 1 year in a leadership or team lead role Strong understanding of production processes, quality control standards, and safety protocols Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills Ability to lead by example and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment Proficient in using basic computer systems and production reporting tools. Previous experience with Netsuite a plus!
