Shift Manager

Overview We are currently interviewing to fill Sr. Sandwich Artist positions at our Middleburg Heights location on Engle Road, including closers and weekend openers. Scheduling is flexible and can be set to have a consistent schedule week to week. Pay is weekly via direct deposit. We are looking for team members who are punctual, communicative, respectful, conscious of food safety (training provided), and excited to offer guests great customer service. Sr. Sandwich Artists are our shift leads; handling customer complaints and keeping the team on task to ensure great customer service is offered, food safety regulations are followed, and tasks are completed before shift ends. Shift focus As part of the Subway® Team, you as a Shift Manager will focus on six main things: Providing an excellent guest experience Ensuring that great food is prepared & served Keeping our restaurants functional, clean and beautiful Controlling inventory Scheduling and supervising staff Being a team player Day-to-day responsibilities Cascading training to Sandwich Artists™ on existing and new responsibilities Scheduling and supervising staff Practicing inventory control standards Ensuring equipment is in proper working order during shift Completing paperwork as needed Team member benefits Brand partnership discounts Scholarship opportunities Opportunity to earn university course credits Hands-on career experience in a restaurant business Prerequisites Education : High school diploma or equivalent Experience : A minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment. Essential functions Communication and organizational skills Physical Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
