Entech Medical Staffing is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and experienced Pediatric Medical Assistant to join a busy pediatric healthcare practice. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children and families and is comfortable providing both clinical and administrative support in a fast-paced medical environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and room pediatric patients and their parents/guardians
• Obtain and document vital signs, height, weight, and medical history
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
• Assist physicians and clinical staff with routine pediatric care
• Administer vaccines and injections as directed
• Occationally draw blood
• Perform or assist with basic laboratory testing and specimen collection
• Prepare and maintain patient charts and medical records
• Update medications, allergies, and patient information
• Assist with referrals, prescriptions, and follow-up appointments
• Answer phones and respond to patient/parent questions professionally
• Schedule appointments and assist with check-in/check-out as needed
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked exam rooms
• Follow all HIPAA, infection-control, and office safety procedures
• Provide a friendly, reassuring experience for young patients and their families

Qualifications

• Previous Medical Assistant experience required; pediatric experience a must
• Pediatric office experience is highly desirable
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Medical Assistant diploma, or state certification
• Current BLS certification with the American Heart Association or willing to obtain
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work comfortably with infants, children, and adolescents
• Professional, dependable, and compassionate demeanor
• Reliable, dependable attendance
