  Job Summary

The Chamber of Commerce Southern New Jersey (CCSNJ) is seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused Membership Coordinator to join our team. This position plays an important role in supporting the membership experience by managing membership processes, maintaining accurate records, assisting with member communications and engagement, and providing administrative support to the Membership team.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, responsive, and able to manage multiple priorities while delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, proficiency with database and CRM systems, and the ability to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of the membership lifecycle, including membership applications, renewals, and cancellations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date member and prospective member records in the organization’s database and CRM system.
• Respond promptly and professionally to member and prospective member inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
• Support member communications and digital marketing initiatives, including newsletters, the Business Directory, and other digital member resources.
• Attend select events to provide on-site support and assist members and guests.
• Accounts receivable support, including tracking and following up on membership-related payments and invoices.
• Perform general administrative duties and provide additional support to the Membership team as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

• Associate degree or higher preferred with concentration is business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field.
• Minimum of two years of experience in membership services, customer service, account coordination, administration, or a related role.
• Minimum of one year of experience CRM or database software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• A customer-service mindset and a commitment to providing an exceptional member experience.

Work Environment

Full-Time – Monday - Friday schedule, 8 hours per day including paid lunch with the ability to set hours between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. This position may require occasional early morning and evening hours to support Chamber events and member-related activities. Following the successful completion of the probationary period, the position may be eligible for a flexible and hybrid work environment in accordance with CCSNJ policies.

Benefits & Compensation

Benefits package for medical & dental is available after successful completion of 60 days of employment. 401K contributions are available. This is a salary position at $45,000 - $50,000 per year based on experience.
