Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant

Support the Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO) in production and marketing efforts Co-manage the MLO’s pipeline for current closings Communicate with potential customers and assist with the application process Review and analyze income and asset documentation against data in Encompass and mandated loan guidelines Follow up on leads and create marketing collateral for the MLO Assist with pricing and structuring loans, including guideline assistance Accurately and completely disclose loans and send application packages to borrowers for signature Follow up with borrowers to obtain signed applications and supporting documents Review applications, disclosures, and borrower documentation for completeness and accuracy Contact borrowers regarding missing or unsigned documentation Liaise between borrowers and processors to ensure required documentation is received and accurate Update the disclosure tracking screen for Intent to Proceed Confirm credit card authorization is received and complete Identify discrepancies and notify the MLO and processor of potential issues Review income documentation and loan applications to determine the appropriate VOE type to order Work with the MLO regarding missing or requested items Update conversation logs in Encompass Requirements Recent experience in the mortgage industry as an assistant, loan processor, or loan officer is required Knowledge of lending terminology Ability and experience speaking with borrowers regarding lending requirements Proven customer service ability is required Proficiency with Microsoft Office software suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Experience with Encompass Excellent oral and written communication skills Must live in one of the core hiring locations: Maryland, District of Columbia, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Indiana, Illinois, North Carolina, South Carolina, or Florida Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in mortgage processing and customer service, with proficiency in Encompass and Microsoft Office.
