Role Overview

\n

\n

Fractal is seeking a senior technology and AI leader to build and scale the AI Foundations (AIF) offering within our Healthcare & Life Sciences (HLS) practice. AIF is the engineering and platform backbone that makes enterprise AI work in production: modernized data and cloud estates, agentic and GenAI platforms, MCP and context layers, evaluation and trust frameworks, and AI-native engineering practices.

You will work with 20+ Fortune 100 clients and partner with Fractal's engineering, cloud, and practice leaders to design, sell, and deliver these foundations at scale. Deep life sciences or healthcare domain experience is not required. Strength in AI, data, and cloud engineering leadership is.

\n

Responsibilities

\n

\n

\n
• Own the AIF offering for HLS. Define the strategy, reference architectures, and go-to-market for AI foundations across data and cloud modernization, agentic platforms, and AI-enabled engineering.
\n

\n

\n

\n
• Lead client-facing delivery and growth. Act as senior technical advisor to CIO, CTO, and CDO organizations across 20+ Fortune 100 clients, scoping and leading large AI foundation programs, driving CXO-level deal making, and expanding existing accounts.
\n

\n

\n

\n
• Drive AI-native engineering transformation. Embed AI tooling and agentic workflows across software, data, platform, and SRE functions to improve productivity, quality, and delivery velocity.
\n

\n

\n

\n
• Build production-grade AI systems. Oversee delivery of enterprise agentic platforms, MCP servers, context layers, evaluation frameworks, and governance and trust controls suited to regulated environments.
\n

\n

\n

\n
• Partner across Fractal. Work with the Cloud and Data Technology team, the HLS practice head, partnerships and alliances (Hyperscalers, Databricks), and India delivery teams to deliver end to end.
\n

\n

\n

\n
• Build and mentor teams. Recruit, coach, and lead global engineering teams, driving collaboration across a community of 700+ members and leading by influence across cross-functional groups.
\n

\n

\n

\n
• Support commercial motions. Contribute to proposals, executive presentations, and account plans, and be actively billable on select engagements.
\n

\n

\n

\n
• Manage delivery health. Own quality, utilization, margins, and client satisfaction for the programs you lead.
\n

\n

\n

Qualifications

\n

\n

\n
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field
\n
• 15+ years of experience in technology leadership across data, cloud, and AI engineering
\n
• Proven record of leading enterprise AI, GenAI, or agentic programs from architecture through production
\n
• Deep experience with cloud and data platforms (AWS, Azure, Databricks) and modern data and ML engineering
\n
• Experience running large, multi-disciplinary, global delivery teams
\n
• Credibility with senior technology executives, with hands-on experience in consultative selling, proposals, and executive presentations
\n
• Strong communication skills and comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
\n
• Preferred: exposure to regulated industries (healthcare, pharma, financial services), but HLS domain experience is not required
\n

Pay:

\n

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $225,000 - $300,000. In addition, for the current performance period, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.

As a full-time employee of the company or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in the health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans in accordance with the plan documents, which may be amended from time to time. You will be eligible for benefits on the first day of employment with the Company. In addition, you are eligible to participate in the Company 401(k) Plan after 30 days of employment, in accordance with the applicable plan terms. The Company provides for 11 paid holidays and 12 weeks of Parental Leave. We also follow a “free time” PTO policy, allowing you the flexibility to take time needed for either sick time or vacation.
