Job OverviewA law firm seeks a patent agent with over two years of experience in computer science or electrical engineering for their Los Angeles, California office. The role involves collaborating with inventors and attorneys to prepare and prosecute patent applications related to emerging technologies. Duties Identify inventions through technical discussions with inventors. Conduct novelty and clearance searches to distinguish inventions from current art. Draft comprehensive patent applications. Collaborate with attorneys to negotiate patent application rights with the Patent Office. Prepare reports and documentation to assist in managing patent portfolios. Requirements 2+ years of experience in computer science or electrical engineering. Strong technical and excellent writing skills. Exceptional attention to technical detail. Effective communication and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software. Education Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics. Certifications Technical experience in data science, machine learning, AI, IoT, wireless communications, sensors, semiconductors, or optics is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr BCG Attorney Search
