Cardiology - Noninvasive Physician

Locums - Bellingham, Washington, Cardiology Opening (IMLC Accepted)

Start Date: 9/14/26 Expected Duration: 14 weeks Reason for Opening: Gap in coverage

Coverage & Setting:

• Non-Invasive Cardiologist - Hospitalist role
• Primary focus is hospital-based/inpatient support with no outpatient clinic needs
• 247-bed hospital
• Adult patient population
• Approximately 14-16 patients per day
• Rounding, consults, and follow-up care
• Admissions are primarily STEMIs, averaging a couple per week

Schedule & Call Requirements:

• Day coverage: Approximately 7:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
• Scheduled coverage plus call required
• Approximately 1-2 weekday call nights
• One call weekend
• Call rotation averages 1:6

Clinical Scope & Procedures:

• Cardioversion - Required
• TEE - Required
• Must be qualified/licensed to read Echocardiograms, Cardiac Nuclear studies, and TEE
• Cardiac nuclear medicine experience required; Nuclear Board Certification not required

Support & Systems:

• Provider works independently with an ARNP available in the hospital daily except Sunday
• ARNP works alongside the General Cardiology physician
• EMR: Epic

Requirements:

• Board Certified Cardiology/Electrophysiology - Required
• Washington license and DEA in hand - Preferred
• IMLC accepted; non-licensed candidates will be considered
• BLS and ACLS - Required through AHA or ARC
