Software Engineer - Asset Management Platform

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We expect formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, along with 3+ years of applied experience.
• We need experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using one or more modern programming languages, such as Java and/or Python.
• We value hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• We require the ability to design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices.
• We look for a solid understanding of the software development life cycle.
• We need experience with CI/CD tooling, enterprise CI/CD practices, and source control platforms such as Bitbucket or GitHub.
• We expect practical cloud-native experience.
• We require hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools for coding, test creation, troubleshooting, or documentation, with the ability to critically assess, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• We need understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations, plus the ability to guide peers on safe and effective usage.
• Preferred: experience in Site Reliability Engineering and/or DevOps.
• Preferred: exposure to cloud technologies.
• Preferred: exposure to financial models.

• We execute creative software solutions, including design, development, and technical troubleshooting, and we think beyond routine approaches to solve complex technical problems.
• We develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
• We identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve the operational stability of software applications and systems.
• We gather, analyze, synthesize, and visualize large, diverse data sets to support continuous improvement of software applications and systems.
• We proactively identify hidden issues and patterns in data and use those insights to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
• We contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore emerging technologies.
