Shift: 12-Hour Day & Night Shifts
Key Responsibilities
Obstetrics & Labor/Delivery Nursing Care
- Provide direct nursing care for obstetric and labor & delivery patients
- Monitor maternal and fetal conditions throughout labor and delivery
- Assist physicians and care teams during childbirth procedures
- Support postpartum recovery and newborn care activities
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation and patient records
Patient Assessment & Clinical Support
- Perform patient assessments and ongoing monitoring
- Respond appropriately to emergent obstetric situations
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
- Support patient education and discharge planning
Collaboration & Communication
- Collaborate with:
- Physicians
- Neonatal teams
- Obstetrics staff
- Ancillary departments
- Maintain strong communication with patients and families
- Promote patient-centered, compassionate care
Compliance & Safety
- Maintain compliance with hospital nursing standards and regulatory requirements
- Follow infection prevention and patient safety protocols
- Maintain BLS and NRP certifications
- Support quality improvement and patient care initiatives
Must-Have Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Current California Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Current BLS Certification American Heart Association
- Current NRP Certification American Academy of Pediatrics
- Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery RN experience in an acute care hospital setting
- Strong obstetrics and patient care skills
- Ability to work 12-hour Day & Night shifts onsite in Santa Rosa, CA
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior Labor & Delivery nursing experience in high-volume acute care hospitals
- Experience with maternal/newborn patient care
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR)
- Strong patient education and communication skills
- Experience in fast-paced hospital environments
