Proposal Manager

This is a challenging career position for a seasoned proposal manager. He or she will take full responsibility for the proposal development and production process and will contribute to the maintenance of data sources to ensure the accuracy of current information. Must be a self-starter with strong organizational skills, possess the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines, and be willing to work overtime as needed to accommodate deadlines and production schedules. Strong writing and proofing skills are a must.

Technical responsibilities include tracking and searching client activity, maintaining up-to-date client and prospect information, managing prequalification efforts, providing life cycle support for RFPs and RFIs, developing the proposal schedule, communicating with teammates, ensuring the accuracy and adequacy of the final work product, ensuring that the proposal development standards are followed, updating marketing materials, and participating in strategy sessions.

Education requirements include a bachelor's degree in English, journalism, marketing, communications, or related field, or equivalent experience and training. Knowledge-skills-abilities include minimum 3 years of experience writing, editing, and preparing proposals, preferably in the A/E/C industry, knowledge of federal SF 254, SF 255, and SF 330 formats, ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines, effective interpersonal, supervisory, oral, and written communication skills, proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Acrobat Professional, working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, ability to follow directions and verbal orders with minimal supervision, and display leadership skills.

Pay transparency includes a base salary of $95,000 - $115,000 annually (negotiable based on qualifications and experiences). Physical requirements include ability to sit at a desk for extended periods, maintaining posture while working at a computer, and short periods of standing or walking within the office.
