Senior Accountant Location: 19775 Belmont Executive Plaza, Suite 200, Ashburn, VA 20147 Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant with a strong background in project finance to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing Work In Progress (WIP) accounting, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting project-related financial activities. This role requires a proactive individual who can handle complex accounting tasks and contribute to the financial success of our projects. Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee Work In Progress (WIP) accounting to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of project costs and revenues. Prepare and analyze project finance reports, budgets, and forecasts. Review and reconcile project-related financial transactions and accounts. Collaborate with project managers and finance teams to support project financial planning and control. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Assist in month‑end and year‑end closing processes related to project finance. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting accuracy and efficiency. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on project finance. Proven experience managing Work In Progress (WIP) accounting. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment. Must be a US Citizen. Supervisory Responsibilities No direct reports, may collaborate with different stakeholders and customers. Physical Demands This is largely a sedentary role; routinely operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer, sit/stand for extended periods of time.
