Job Description The Senior Assistant Financial Controller supports the Finance Controller in the Corporate Accounting team, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, local regulations, and corporate policies for Oracle’s global legal entities. Responsibilities Manage monthly and quarterly close cycles, ensuring timely US GAAP financial reporting, consolidating all Oracle entities, preparing journal entries, reviewing income statement activity, and balance sheet reconciliations. Develop and drive intercompany reconciliation processes between Oracle legal entities. Manage accounting entries for ongoing integration reorganizations of Oracle companies. Review account reconciliations of corporate entities for reasonableness and appropriateness. Prepare balance sheet and P&L flux analysis of assigned corporate legal entities. Support Financial Controllers in regions with day‑to‑day activities to ensure compliance with Oracle policies and US GAAP reporting standards. Prepare quarterly schedules for SEC 10Q/10K filings and support the External Reporting team in quarterly report preparation. Collaborate with Global Finance organizations (Global Business Finance, Tax, Treasury, Legal). Oversee preparation and audit management of statutory financial statements for assigned corporate legal entities. Work closely with external local auditors to complete audits within statutory timelines in Ireland and Switzerland. Participate in Global & Regional strategic initiatives that optimize the Chief Accounting Office organization. Research past transactions and interpret past events and future treatment. Support Internal Audit and SOX PMO on internal controls assessment, implementing recommendations, reinforcing controls, and maintaining updated local process documentation. Provide direction and mentoring to team members. Collaborate with Tax organization on tax authority information requests and audits. Implement best practice system processes and controls for the corporation and legal entities to satisfy financial reporting obligations. Qualifications Professional Accounting Qualification (CPA or equivalent) required. BS in Accounting or Business with major in Accounting; MBA a plus. 3‑5 years of progressive experience in the technology sector with multinational/ Fortune 500 or top 10 public accounting firm experience. Experience in corporate accounting, consolidation process, and intercompany preferred. Broad understanding of finance responsibilities: accounting, revenue recognition, treasury, tax, business practices. Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Knowledge of US GAAP, finance and tax regulations, ASC 830 (SFAS 52). ERP experience – Oracle Financials and/or other ERP solutions advantageous. Project Management skills: planning, initiating, monitoring, implementing projects within a team.
