Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) - 13-week Contract Position

Schedule

This position requires a schedule of 10-hour days, from Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. You will also participate in a weekday and weekend call rotation, as well as holiday call rotation as needed.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our dynamic surgical team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in various surgical specialties, including orthopedics, general, ENT, and trauma surgery. You will be responsible for ensuring the best patient outcomes in a fast-paced operating room environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the operating room
• Assist with draping, handling sterile instruments, and other surgical preparations
• Maintain patient safety and ensure proper surgical techniques
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure effective patient management
• Participate in the pre-operative and post-operative care of patients
• Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2-3 years of experience in the operating room specialty is required
• 2-3 previous travel assignments preferred
• Orthopedic experience required
• MUST have experience passing instruments for robotic surgeries
• Current BLS, ACLS, and preferably PALS certifications
• Experience with EPIC charting system

Experience Requirement: 2-3 Years of experience in the specialty is required, as well as 2-3 previous travel assignments. Ortho/Neuro experience is preferred.

Charge Nurse Yes 7a - 7p. They will take circulate cases if needed

Weekend Requirement - RN's One weekend day on-call 7a-7p per month

What is call response time? 20 minutes (if they are >20 minutes away & on call they would be required to stay )

Tele RN's are not required to interpret strips in the OR. Anesthesia
