Job Title Account Receivable Specialist Location Virginia Beach, VA, US Organization Name Finance Work Schedule and Other Information Monday thru Friday IN OFFICE apprx. 8a.m. - 5 p.m. Brief Description Under broad guidance, the Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for reviewing the daily activities of the Accounts Receivable Technician, ensuring the accounting integrity of financial transactions relative to all business models where HRSD provides bill calculation and customer accounts receivable management services, providing leadership to promote teamwork and collaborative problem solving, and reconciling the daily Cash and Accounts Receivable, and preparing the daily ACH; Providing support to other work centers as needed and accepting and adapting to changes, while supporting others in accepting and adapting to changes. Job Requirements
Education

Required

• Associate's degree in business


• Completion of college level accounting courses

Experience


Required

• Minimum four years increasingly responsible experience in bookkeeping, related internal controls, and office operations to include mission critical, and time sensitive work developing statistics through independent analysis and proficient use of the standard software to produce reports/graphs/charts

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software, with an emphasis on Excel

Desired

• Accounting experience in customer accounts receivable

• Four or more years in a supervisory position

Licenses and Certifications Requirements

• Valid Driver's License from state of residence
