As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Entry Screening in San Jose, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic technology location, you will conduct routine patrols, support access control and badge processes, observe X-ray screening activities, and use computer or tablet systems to document security-related information. Your visible presence and customer-focused communication help deter incidents while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology and semiconductor manufacturing location by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, laboratories, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and maintain visitor and contractor entry records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting observations.
• Complete required activity reports, incident reports, and shift communications while supporting security-related operations at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
