Description:
Custom Engineering is currently seeking 1st and 2nd shift CNC Machinists to operate horizontal boring mills, vertical mills and bridge mills. Up to $28 per hour BOE ($2.00 2nd shift differential).
- Create a set up and remove workpieces from a machine per procedure
- Proficiently use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators and gauges to ensure conformance of specified tolerances
- Proficient at performing in-process inspections at a machine and adjusting various offsets to ensure conformance of workpieces as required
- Position and secure workpieces on machines using measuring instruments, holding devices, hand tools, and cranes
- Study blueprints, lay outs, sketches, and work orders to determine tolerances and work procedures
- Proficient knowledge in general machining practices
- Ability to recognize tooling types and procedures for machining close tolerances
