Key Responsibilities

• Provide personalized, developmentally appropriate therapy to infants, toddlers, and school-aged children dealing with conditions such as neuromuscular disorders, orthopedic issues, and developmental delays.
• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to create comprehensive care plans, setting clear, attainable functional goals to support mobility, independence, and participation in activities of daily living.
• Utilize creative, play-based interventions to engage with children, transforming therapy into enjoyable experiences that inspire motivation and participation.
• Collaborate closely with families and caregivers, offering education on home exercise programs and strategies to reinforce therapeutic gains in everyday settings.
• Document patient progress and therapeutic observations with precision in our user-friendly electronic medical record (EMR) system, maintaining clear communication with all members of the healthcare team.
• Actively participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities, contributing to an atmosphere of lifelong learning and shared expertise.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on treating a diverse pediatric population that includes children with varying medical complexities and developmental needs. You will engage with clients ranging from infants with congenital conditions to children experiencing difficulties due to injuries or developmental delays. This role requires significant empathy and an understanding of family dynamics, allowing you to effectively communicate with both the child and their caregivers.

Qualifications

• Current Doctorate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid Physical Therapist license in the State of California or eligibility for licensure.
• Demonstrated passion for working with children and an enthusiasm for incorporating families into the therapeutic process.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to actively listen to the needs and concerns of both patients and their families.
• Creative problem-solving skills, with a playful approach to therapy that meets children at their level—whether on the ground, in a swing, or through imaginative play.

Preferred Experience

• Prior pediatric physical therapy experience is valued, though we welcome enthusiastic new graduates with clinical rotations focused on pediatrics.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive salary range between $110,000 and $120,000, commensurate with experience.
