Contract | Mid Shift | Every other weekend required | Holiday coverage required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an 8-bed Emergency Room setting with an average daily census of 29 patients
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of generally 1:2, with a potential maximum of 1:4
• Administer and manage medications utilizing the Pyxis medication dispensing system
• Collaborate with on-site providers, including NP/PA coverage daily from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM
• Assess, triage, and deliver emergency nursing care to patients across the acuity spectrum

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license — any licensing history or hits must be disclosed at time of submission
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Emergency Room nursing experience
• Ability to work every other weekend and holidays as required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with Pyxis medication management systems
• Experience working in a small or critical access hospital Emergency Room environment
• Comfort working independently in a lower-volume, community-based ER setting
