The Sterile Processing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and personnel of the Sterile Processing Department. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and compliant cleaning, decontamination, and sterilization of supplies, instruments, and equipment critical to patient care.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Supervising daily departmental operations and staff
• Ensuring compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and safety standards
• Overseeing sterilization, decontamination, and cleaning processes
• Maintaining and enforcing departmental policies and procedures
• Supporting organizational initiatives and continuous quality improvement efforts

Primary Department, Division, or Unit: Sterile Processing, UHS Wilson Medical Center

Primary Work Shift: Evening Rotational

Regular Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Compensation Range: $25.27 - $37.90 per hour, depending on experience

Education/Experience

Minimum Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2 years' experience as a Sterile Processing Technician I

Preferred:

• Associates Degree
• Inventory management business experience
• Operating room experience
• Previous supervisory experience

License/Certification

Minimum Required:

• Certification as a Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician
