Job Title: Cash Receipts Accounting Supervisor (Senior Accounting Officer – Supervisor) Job Code: JC-524006 Location: Sacramento County (East End Complex, EEC, across from the California State Capitol) Salary Range: $6,523.00 – $8,106.00 per month Telework: Hybrid (telework up to 3 days per week; in‑person minimum 2 days per week) Job Description Under general direction from an Accounting Administrator I (AA I), the Senior Accounting Officer, Supervisor (SAOS) is responsible for planning, assigning, directing, reviewing, and evaluating the work of the Cash Receipts Unit accounting staff within the Accounts Receivable & Cash Receipts Section. The Cash Receipts Unit processes incoming mail, submits remittances through the Remittance Processing System (RPS), posts, deposits, and remits all cash receipts including checks and electronic fund transfers (EFTs). The SAOS must have an understanding of Title 19 (Medical) and Title 21 (Healthy Families) grants. In addition, the SAOS assists in monitoring deposits through the Financial Information System of California (FI$Cal). Responsibilities Plan, assign, direct, review, and evaluate work of Cash Receipts Unit staff. Process incoming mail and remit receipts via RPS. Post, deposit, and remit all cash receipts (checks and EFTs). Monitor deposits through FI$Cal. Ensure compliance with Title 19 (Medical) and Title 21 (Healthy Families) grant regulations. Minimum Requirements Position Classification: SENIOR ACCOUNTING OFFICER (SUPERVISOR). Qualifications Experience with accounting principles, payroll, and general ledger. Understanding of Title 19 and Title 21 grant funding and accounting. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work in a fast‑paced environment.
