Join a well-established outpatient clinical setting in Seattle, WA, as a Medical Assistant specializing in urology. This temp-to-hire position offers the opportunity to work in a procedural-heavy clinic, providing vital support to healthcare providers and patients alike. Responsibilities

• Obtain and record vital signs for adult and pediatric patients.
• Prepare patients for exams by recording history, medications, and allergies.
• Set up and assist with procedures such as cystoscopy, prostate biopsy, and bladder scans.
• Maintain sterile fields during procedures and assist with specimen collection by labeling specimens appropriately.
• Room patients efficiently and accurately, ensuring smooth clinic flow.
• Operate and maintain special equipment including ultrasound biopsy machines, the Trophon, and bladder scanners.
• Assist healthcare providers with procedures and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout.
• Chart patient interactions and clinical documentation accurately, preferably in EPIC.

Required Skills

• Ability to obtain vital signs accurately.
• Experience preparing for exams by recording comprehensive medical histories, medications, and allergies.
• Proficiency in setting up and assisting with procedures such as cystoscopy, prostate biopsy, and bladder scans.
• Knowledge of maintaining sterile fields during clinical procedures.
• Experience labeling and handling clinical specimens.
• Strong patient rooming skills in an outpatient clinic environment.
• Familiarity with clinic equipment including ultrasound biopsy tools, bladder scanners, and related devices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, procedural-heavy outpatient setting.

Additional Skills & Requirements

• 6 months of experience as an MA-C or MA-R in an outpatient, adult/pediatric clinical setting is required.
• Experience in specialties such as urology, otolaryngology, or dermatology is preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) is preferred; MA-R candidates with applicable procedural experience will also be considered.
• Must have a valid state license or compact license in hand at submission.
• Reliable transportation is required; public transportation is not accepted.
• Schedule: four 9-hour days plus one 4-hour day (Monday through Friday), with alternating half-day schedules depending on physician's OR day.
• Candidate must be open to floating to the Ravenna clinic location on Mondays.
• Willingness to work during specified days, with flexibility for holidays if needed.
