Area Leader

Position Overview Valet Living is hiring a field‑based Area Leader to oversee nightly waste, recycling, and compost collection services for 20–40 multifamily communities. The Area Leader manages a team of 15–40 part‑time Service Valets, ensuring service runs smoothly, safely, and on time. Responsibilities Lead Your Team: Onboard and train Service Valets; conduct regular team meetings and safety checks; manage schedules, approve timecards, and keep the team on track and within budget. Foster a culture of accountability, open communication, and continuous improvement. Keep Operations Running Smoothly: step in to ensure uninterrupted service; visit properties to review quality, complete audits, and resolve issues; use iValet dashboard to track performance and ensure timely completion; respond to resident or property concerns; ensure Valets have necessary tools, equipment, and access. Support Daily and Administrative Tasks: assist with hiring and training new Valets; pick up and distribute supplies, PPE, and containers; work with Operations Manager to monitor staffing levels and manage costs; help with special projects or service recovery tasks; oversee vehicle maintenance and ensure fleet safety standards. Qualifications At least one year of supervisory experience in a hands‑on environment (preferred). Organized and detail‑oriented with strong scheduling and follow‑up abilities. Tech‑savvy; comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite and new platforms. Data‑driven with analytical skills to interpret reports and make decisions. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Problem solver who adapts quickly, addresses issues, and finds solutions. Education & Certifications High school diploma or GED required. Valid driver’s license required; must operate company vehicle. Physical Requirements Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Walk long distances (including stairs) and work outdoors in varying weather. Tolerate disagreeable odors. Compensation & Benefits Pay range: $22–$24 per hour (may be adjusted based on location, experience, and skills). Company vehicle provided. Work schedule: Sunday–Thursday 6:00PM–12:30AM core hours, plus two flexible hours to complete 8‑hour shift. 70% field‑based / 30% remote administrative work.
