Position Summary Ethox Chemicals is seeking an energetic, customer-focused Inside Sales Representative to support and grow our commercial organization. This position is ideal for an early-career sales professional with experience in the chemical industry who is looking to build a long-term career in commercial leadership. The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for managing customer relationships, supporting accounts, coordinating commercial activities, and driving profitable growth across assigned customers. Working closely with external sales management, technical teams, customer service, and operations, this individual will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and identifying new business opportunities. This role is designed as a development position with a clear pathway into future opportunities such as Account Manager or Business Unit Manager . Responsibilities Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned customers and prospects through proactive communication and account support. Serve as a primary commercial contact for assigned customers, responding to inquiries, preparing quotations, coordinating requests, and ensuring timely follow-up. Partner with external sales representatives to support strategic accounts, customer retention, and sales growth initiatives. Manage customer opportunities, activities, and sales pipeline information accurately within CRM and internal systems. Identify opportunities for cross-selling, upselling, new product introductions, and growth within existing and prospective accounts. Assist with developing and executing account plans designed to increase sales, strengthen customer relationships, and improve retention. Coordinate with Customer Service, Technical, Operations, Logistics, and other internal teams to resolve customer concerns and ensure timely, effective solutions. Develop an understanding of customer applications, markets, technical requirements, and business needs to effectively support commercial opportunities. Develop strong working knowledge of Ethox products, manufacturing processes, applications, and target markets. Participate in customer visits, trade shows, industry conferences, and other commercial activities as opportunities arise. Collaborate with business and sales leaders to gain exposure to broader commercial and operational responsibilities and develop skills for future advancement. Maintain a high level of professionalism, responsiveness, and customer focus in all interactions. Perform and execute additional tasks and functions as directed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Business, Marketing, or related field required. Previous experience in account management, technical sales, customer service, or the chemical/manufacturing industry preferred. Understanding of chemical manufacturing processes, industrial markets, or technical products preferred. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with a customer-first mindset. Strong organizational and time-management skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft 365 Suite and CRM platforms Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, problem-solving ability, and desire for continued professional development. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment and build relationships across all levels of the organization. Ability to utilize conflict resolution skills to manage and resolve internal conflicts within the service and sales teams as well as professionally address customer issues and complaints.
