Position Overview

This role involves managing scheduling duties for imaging exams, ensuring patients receive clear preparation instructions and directions for their appointments. The coordinator handles all incoming calls with professionalism and efficiency, collects necessary patient information, and prioritizes urgent exams appropriately. The position supports a healthcare facility serving the Pacific Northwest region, committed to delivering compassionate and effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to safety and infection control protocols.
• Schedule imaging appointments and provide patients with detailed preparation instructions.
• Guide patients on where to arrive for their exams.
• Respond courteously and efficiently to all phone inquiries.
• Identify and prioritize urgent imaging exams for timely scheduling.
• Confirm appointment times with patients through follow-up calls.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience scheduling appointments in a medical clinic setting; radiology experience may substitute for scheduling experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to comprehend medical terminology in written documents.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
