Role Description The Insurance Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Santa Clara, CA. This role is responsible for guiding clients through insurance options, explaining plan features, and helping them select appropriate coverage across medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and other product lines. Day-to-day tasks include preparing quotes, processing applications, managing renewals, and maintaining accurate client records in agency systems. The Insurance Specialist will collaborate with carriers to resolve policy issues, support claims inquiries, and ensure timely follow-up on client requests. The role also involves participating in client consultations, supporting Employee Health and Wellness initiatives, and contributing to internal process improvements to enhance service quality. Qualifications Strong knowledge of Insurance products and Insurance Brokerage practices, with the ability to navigate multiple carriers and plan types. Understanding of Finance fundamentals related to premiums, deductibles, contributions, and cost comparisons. Excellent Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication with diverse, bilingual client populations. Demonstrated Customer Service skills, with a track record of building trust, managing expectations, and resolving issues promptly. Relevant state insurance licensing (or ability to obtain within a defined timeframe) and prior experience in an agency or benefits environment preferred. Proficiency with office software and online insurance platforms; strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
