Join our great people at our great places designing great projects.We are currently searching for a CFD Analyst- Mechanical Engineer to sit in either our New York NY, Troy NY, Atlanta GA, Milwaukee WI,Tempe AZ, or Herndon VA office.Your ImpactUtilize CFD tools to solve physics-based problems related to indoor and outdoor building flows, thermal comfort, contaminant dispersion and condensation controlsImprove existing analytical capabilities by developing and improving best practices, automating processes, and streamlining workflowsMaintain working knowledge of relevant computational fluids research in the building mechanical field with proactive researchDocumentation, reporting, and making technical presentations of engineering solutions to design teams and clientsWork independently while communicating and coordinating with other engineering disciplines and project managersWho You AreRequired QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related discipline3+ year of relevant work experienceKnowledgeable on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, and Building Mechanical SystemsAbility to perform quality work within deadlinesPreferred Qualifications:Master’s DegreeDemonstrated experience in understanding and using CFD analysis software (FloEFD, STAR CCM+, Fluent, FDS, OpenFOAM, 6SigmaRoom)Familiarity with software development for writing User Defined Functions (UDF) for commercial software.Experience in programming languages such as Python, C++ and JavaCritical thinking and problem solving skills, planning & organizing skills, decision making and time management skillStrong written and oral communication skills and ability to clearly communicate research findings through presentations and reportsStrong drive for results and continuous improvement Compensation and Benefits: WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career.
