Associate Compliance Analyst

The University of Toledo is hiring an Associate Compliance Analyst. This role involves leading compliance efforts related to human subject research by conducting protocol pre-review, analyzing documentation, and providing regulatory guidance to investigators, research staff, students, and IRB members to ensure ethical and legal standards are met. Highlights Lead protocol pre-review and analysis of human subject research materials including applications, informed consents, data collection tools, and regulatory documents. Ensure adherence to federal, state, and institutional regulations such as DHHS/OHRP, FDA, and HIPAA standards. Provide educational and regulatory guidance to research investigators, staff, students, and IRB members. Handle confidential information and manage compliance of research agreements and contracts. Support other research compliance areas including responsible conduct of research and biosafety. Utilize knowledge of federal regulations specific to human subjects research (45 CFR 46, 21 CFR 56, HIPAA rules). Require a Bachelor’s degree and 2–3 years of relevant professional experience or equivalent education. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s or J.D. degree and three years of regulatory compliance experience. Must have strong organizational skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
