Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Evening Shift (3x12 Hours, 15:00–03:30) | Expected 36 or 48 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department environment, with a significant portion of patients being admitted holds
• Administer medications, including IV medications, following the seven medication rights
• Document and communicate clinical findings accurately and in a timely manner
• Work within a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio in the ED setting
• Float to Adult PCUs based on staffing needs; floating to Peds ED is optional; potential floating to ED Holding and Trauma based on experience
• Work weekends as scheduled; weekend nights are considered Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (NM license may be pending at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required; 1.5 years may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis
• TNCC required prior to submission
• ACLS, BLS, PALS required ; NIH may be pending until compliance document due date
• RQI certifications are not accepted
• Must be available to work 2 out of 3 holiday bundles: Thanksgiving & the day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve & New Year's Day
• Must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• Level I Trauma experience preferred; candidates with 2+ years of Level I experience may be considered even without prior travel experience
• Familiarity with Cerner charting system
• Experience managing admitted/ED holding patients in a high-acuity environment
