Counter Sale – Construction Supply

Philipps Bros Supply is a locally owned and operated company that has been servicing contractors and the building trades of Western New York for close to 100 years. We are currently seeking a motivated and personable Sales Associate to join our team.

Location: Snyder, NY
Industry: Construction Supply
Schedule: Days Monday through Friday
Compensation: Pay commensurate with experience

About the Role:

The available position is a front counter desk-based position that involves face-to-face, phone, email and computer-based sales, providing advice, answering questions and equipping B2B and B2C customers with the right tools, supplies and equipment to accomplish their projects.

Responsibilities:

• Assist customers at the sales counter
• Take and process orders accurately in person and by phone
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on construction tools and products
• Communicate effectively with the warehouse and delivery teams
• Help maintain a clean and organized counter and showroom area
• Perform light warehouse or stocking tasks as needed

Requirements:

• Strong communication and people skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when needed
• Basic computer and point-of-sale system knowledge
• Experience in construction, retail, or supply sales preferred
• Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
