This is a multi-level positing for Tech (General) and Sr. Tech (General) positions.

M0024: Sr. Tech (General)

Job Summary

Maintains and repair all FEC facilities and facilities related equipment; maintains all pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing and mechanical systems in accordance with established FedEx maintenance procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

• High school diploma/GED.

Minimum Experience

• Four (4) years experience, of which 24 months as a FedEx technician (general), or 24 months of maintenance experience on similar equipment/systems, in a commercial/industrial maintenance environment with background in electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic and mechanical systems maintenance with heavy emphasis on properties and facilities maintenance.
• Demonstrated proficiency in areas of facilities maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, general and related skills.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Must possess good working knowledge of maintenance tools, equipment and procedures.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Good interpersonal and oral communications skills.

Job Conditions

• Non-covered safety sensitive position.
• Must be willing to work odd work week, overtime, holidays and rotating shifts.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and maneuver heavy facilities related components, parts and equipment with appropriate equipment and/or assistance.
• Ability to access equipment by crawling, laying, standing and/or climbing at all heights both above and below ground.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. 

M0014: Tech (General)

Job Summary

Maintains and repair all FEC facilities related equipment; maintains all designated electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing and mechanical systems in accordance with established FEC maintenance procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

• High School Diploma/GED.

Minimum Experience

• Three (3) years experience in a commercial industrial maintenance environment with background in electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic and mechanical systems maintenance with heavy emphasis on properties and facilities maintenance.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Must possess good working knowledge of maintenance tools, equipment and procedures.
• Valid Driver License required.
• Good interpersonal and oral communications skills.
