Associate Attorney

Must be Florida-barred and reside in or near the Tampa area. AV-rated insurance defense law firm is seeking a motivated Insurance Defense Attorney with 2–4 years of litigation experience to join our Tampa office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to continue developing their litigation practice while working alongside experienced trial attorneys in a collaborative and supportive environment. Responsibilities Manage a caseload of insurance defense matters from inception through resolution. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, reports, and other substantive legal documents. Conduct legal research and analysis using Westlaw and other legal resources. Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts. Attend hearings, mediations, court conferences, and other litigation proceedings. Develop litigation strategy and provide case evaluations and recommendations. Communicate effectively with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and the court. Maintain case deadlines and meet applicable billing and productivity expectations. Qualifications Active membership in good standing with The Florida Bar . 2–4 years of litigation experience , with insurance defense experience preferred. Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills. Experience handling discovery, depositions, and drafting substantive motions. Excellent organizational, communication, and case management abilities. Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team-oriented practice.
