Position: Transportation Specialist Location: Allen, TX, US, 75013 Company: Epiroc Functional Area: Supply Chain & Sourcing Job Description The role of the Transportation Specialist is to assist in the processes of transporting all shipments as required in a timely and cost‑effective manner. They are responsible for maintaining efficient and cost‑effective transportation solutions to our internal and external customers. Work Type: Hybrid Shift Timings: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Responsibilities Support in reaching KPIs in the following areas: Transportation cost within the region Transportation service and lead times Assist/support in optimization of transportation for inbound and outbound deliveries to, from, and within the region Provide expertise in: Transportation Sourcing SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality) Emissions reporting Transportation Cost Breakdown and Analysis Transportation Processes Transportation Performance Transportation provider evaluation and auditing Fix and respond to service disruptions Assist in local/regional operational and transactional trade compliance Assist colleagues in shipment tracking and tracing Assistance with export/import documentation Maintain internal systems and records as required Support expedited shipments and solutions Freight invoice approval, coding, and processing as required Participate in regional cost and service improvement projects Support regional transportation manager in meeting transportation budget goals, outcomes, and forecasting Provide monthly progress and reporting to Regional Transportation Manager Coordinate product returns Ongoing training as required Travel as required Other duties as required Knowledge & Education BS in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or equivalent experience. 0‑5 years of minimum experience. Previous experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Transportation. Special knowledge, certification or licenses in Supply Chain and/or Logistics as an asset. Proficient MS Office skills (mainly Excel, PowerPoint & Word). Strong understanding of supply chain, domestic and international transportation, and logistics and distribution processes and compliance. Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
