This role involves supervising and directing nursing staff activities and coordinating care with other healthcare professionals.Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse will utilize critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.Key ResponsibilitiesCollect relevant data regarding the patient's health or situation.Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues.Develop and implement a care plan that prescribes interventions to achieve desired outcomes.Coordinate care and employ strategies that promote health and ensure a safe environment.Evaluate patient progress towards achieving expected outcomes.Engage in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure quality care in a safe and supportive environment.Provide educational opportunities for patients, families, and team members.Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.Delegate tasks appropriately and coordinate duties among healthcare team members.Perform other job-related duties as assigned.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.Prior experience in an acute care facility is preferred.Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice is required.Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor is required.Facility-specific licenses/certifications such as BLS and others may be required.Essential FunctionsThe Registered Nurse will be responsible for the overall health management and care of patients.
