Registered Nurse - NICU

Job Summary:


Provides specialized nursing care to neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) patients, ensuring their safety, stability, and well-being through expert clinical skills and compassionate support. Supervises and collaborates with NICU care team members to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess neonates' health status and identify urgent or changing clinical conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments and clinical protocols.
• Administer treatments, medications, and interventions accurately and safely.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Educate families on neonatal care, discharge instructions, and support resources.
• Document all patient interactions, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Possess at least two years recent experience in neonatal or pediatric ICU nursing.
• Maintain current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.
• Certify in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or ARC-NALS.
• Demonstrate proficiency in EPIC or similar electronic health record systems.
• Exhibit strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and communication skills.
