Supervisor, RN - Cath Lab, Full Time, Day Shift

Job Overview Adventist Health Glendale, situated between Burbank and Pasadena, operates a 515‑bed hospital, two urgent cares, home care, comprehensive cardiology, and other services in the San Fernando Valley. Job Summary Schedules, leads, and coordinates the daily activities of a defined unit on an assigned shift. Oversees the delivery of optimal, safe, and quality nursing care and regulatory compliance while providing leadership to staff as an effective resource, role model, mentor, and change agent. Positively influences the quality and delivery of patient care, directs a team of nurses and support staff, and ensures adherence to federal, state, and local regulations and nursing protocols. Coordinates services with other patient care units to maintain patient flow and provides direct specialty nursing services as appropriate. Assists the department Manager in accomplishing unit and organizational goals and supervises activity of assigned personnel with professional and supervisory discretion. Education and Work Experience Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience – Required Master's Degree – Preferred Five years of technical experience – Preferred Professional Licenses and Certifications Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice – Required Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS, HS‑BLS, or RQIBLS) certification – Preferred Clinical specialty and/or nursing administration certification – Preferred Facility‑Specific License/Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS, HS‑BLS, or RQI BLS) certification – Required Department‑Specific License/Certifications Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – Required NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) – Required Essential Functions Collaborate with the entire care team through the continuum of care, act as a patient advocate, coordinate nursing care with other disciplines, and assist in integrating services across all units. Support hiring, promotion, discipline, staffing, scheduling, and performance evaluation of unit personnel; contribute to professional growth and development through education. Maintain regulatory and hospital compliance by conducting rounds and audits, communicating findings, and working with the Nurse Manager on corrective actions. Provide administrative support to the Nurse Manager and perform other duties as assigned.
