Mid-Level Automotive TechnicianRay's Truck Service is hiring a mid-level automotive technician to join our Saco, ME shop. If you've got a few years of wrenching under you, can diagnose and repair most of what rolls through the bay, and you're ready to keep leveling up, this is a shop that'll keep you busy and help you grow. We want a technician who takes pride in clean, correct repairs and wants to grow toward ASE Master.What you'll do:Diagnose and repair automotive systems — brakes, suspension, steering, electrical, HVAC, and engine performanceRun modern diagnostic equipment and read the data to find the root cause, not just the symptomPerform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicesPerform Maine state safety inspections (with proper licensing)Complete A/C service and refrigerant work to EPA standardsKeep accurate repair records and document your work clearlyCommunicate with the service writer and team to keep jobs movingKeep your bay, tools, and work areas clean and safeWhat we're looking for:2–5 years of hands-on automotive repair experience — comfortable working independently on most repairsStrong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across mechanical and electrical systemsYour own set of basic hand toolsA valid driver's license and a clean driving recordHigh school diploma or equivalent; automotive/technical training a plusA strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the drive to keep earning certificationsCertifications — have them or willing to earn them:ASE certification in one or more areas (A4 Steering/Suspension, A5 Brakes, A6 Electrical, A8 Engine Performance) — preferred, with a path and support toward ASE Master TechnicianMaine State Inspection license (Class A inspection mechanic) — required, or willing to obtainEPA Section 609 certification for motor vehicle A/C refrigerant handling — required, or willing to obtainManufacturer-specific training a plusWhat we offer:Competitive pay based on experience: $22.00-$28.00/hourSupport and time to earn ASE and state certificationsSteady, year-round work in a growing companyMedical, dental, and vision plansLife and disability coverageAFLAC plans401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysA growing company where skilled techs move up — toward Master Tech, lead, or foremanIf you can diagnose it, fix it right, and you want to keep building your skills, we want to talk to you.
