Director of Product and Technology

Role Description

This is a remote position. We are seeking a Director of Technology & AI to lead the strategic direction, development, and execution of technology initiatives across a fast-growing SaaS organization. This role will oversee engineering operations, AI innovation, product scalability, infrastructure, and technical execution while ensuring technology investments align with business objectives and customer needs. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technology leader with experience managing software development teams, driving AI adoption, scaling SaaS platforms, and building efficient systems and processes. This position requires a strong balance of strategic thinking, operational leadership, and execution.

Remote 8-5 EST - Monday to Friday

• Lead the company’s technology strategy and long-term innovation roadmap.
• Oversee internal and external engineering teams, ensuring alignment, accountability, and delivery excellence.
• Drive the implementation of AI-powered solutions, automation initiatives, and operational efficiencies.
• Evaluate, integrate, and optimize Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI-driven technologies within products and internal processes.
• Design and scale software architecture, systems, infrastructure, and workflows to support business growth.
• Improve software development processes, engineering productivity, and delivery timelines.
• Partner with leadership teams to align technology initiatives with business goals and customer experience objectives.
• Manage technology budgets, vendors, infrastructure investments, and technical risk.
• Ensure platform reliability, security, scalability, and compliance with industry best practices.
• Establish project prioritization frameworks and execution processes across technology teams.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing engineering and technical talent.
• Support product innovation while maintaining operational stability and performance.
• Build scalable systems and processes that support long-term organizational growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience leading software engineering, technology, or product development teams.
• Proven experience within SaaS or technology-driven organizations.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, cloud infrastructure, scalability, and modern development practices.
• Experience implementing AI technologies, automation solutions, or machine learning applications within products or business operations.
• Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), AI workflows, or generative AI solutions.
• Experience managing distributed teams, third-party vendors, and outsourced development partners.
• Strong project management, organizational, and operational leadership skills.
• Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making abilities.
• Experience in high-growth or rapidly scaling environments is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
