Horizontal Milling Machinist Opportunity
Twin City Staffing is hiring a horizontal milling machinist for a weekend shift in Chanhassen, MN. This direct-hire opportunity offers competitive pay, excellent benefits, and room for advancement. Duties of the horizontal milling machinist:
- Set up and operate horizontal milling machines
- Read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Select, align, and secure tools, fixtures, and materials
- Perform dimensional inspections and ensure quality standards
- Edit programs and manage tooling
- Maintain accurate production and quality records
- Adhere to safety guidelines and company procedures
Requirements of the horizontal milling machinist:
- High school diploma or GED is a plus
- 2-4 years of machining experience
- Strong computer skills and ability to edit programs
- Basic understanding of GD&T, algebra, and geometry
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. (occasionally up to 75 lbs.)
- Able to stoop, kneel, and perform physical tasks as required
