Figueroa Law Group, P.A. is seeking an experienced Florida Family Law Paralegal to join our established and growing law firm in Melbourne, Florida. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years of recent Florida family law experience and be proficient in drafting pleadings, financial affidavits, discovery, trial preparation, e-filing, and coordinating hearings, mediations, and depositions. Experience with equitable distribution worksheets, family law case management, and local court procedures is strongly preferred.

This position requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously, and the confidence to work independently while collaborating closely with attorneys, legal assistants, and other members of the legal team. Because our paralegals maintain frequent communication with clients, compassion, professionalism, and outstanding written and verbal communication skills are essential.

$20 - $23 hourly

• Draft pleadings, motions, notices, correspondence, financial affidavits, and proposed orders.
• Prepare, organize, and manage discovery, mandatory disclosures, and case files.
• Maintain case calendars and monitor deadlines to ensure timely completion of all tasks.
• Schedule hearings, mediations, depositions, and other proceedings through JACS and coordinate with judicial assistants, opposing counsel, mediators, court reporters, and process servers.
• E-file pleadings and other court documents through the Florida Courts E-Filing Portal.
• Prepare trial notebooks, organize and Bates stamp exhibits, and assist attorneys with trial preparation.
• Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case status and document requests while providing exceptional customer service.
• Review documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Florida Family Law Rules of Procedure and local court requirements.
• Perform legal and factual research as assigned.
• Record billable time accurately and meet a minimum billing expectation of 30–35 hours per week.
• Work collaboratively with attorneys, legal assistants, and other team members while independently managing an active caseload.

• Minimum of five (5) years of recent Florida Family Law paralegal experience required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of law firm litigation experience required.
• Strong knowledge of Florida Family Law Rules of Procedure and local court practices.
• Experience preparing financial affidavits, mandatory disclosures, discovery, and equitable distribution worksheets.
• Experience with trial preparation and evidence organization.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and legal case management software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, time management, and proofreading skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision.
• High degree of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
